An off shoot of TCN 9 in Sydney, Telmak made some truely terrible records. When not making no name compilations of currents by anonymous artists, they actually produced some licenced recordings. A noteable employee was Glen A. Baker who put together some reasonable compilations by known artists. Mostly though the material was forgetable. The authorities finally caught up with Telmak and stopped them producing the covers without a big fat warning. That put an end to the covers business in Australia as people were no longer fooled. Glen A. Baker went on to formed Raven Records in 1979, but still released compilations on this label, who knows why.
