Summit

Summit Records was originally known as Universal Record Club, and then Universal Summit during a change over phase to a new name.

Summit Records was an independent budget label that released albums during the late ’60s and throughout the ’70s. Most of these were reissues of albums by local and overseas artists, though there were a few compilations and original albums recorded specifically for the company. There appears to be no particular affiliation with any of the major labels/distributors of the day as their catalogue had licenced releases from most of them.

Other than the location in South Creek Road Cromer, Summit Records were also located at 21 Atchison Street, St. Leonards, NSW, 2065.
